METAR and TAF information

Before any flight the pilot in command is required to obtain and interpret actual and forecast weather. These are available in TAF (forecast) and METAR (actual) reports.

Reading these reports isn't very difficult. It takes some time to be able to read these encrypted abbreviations but you will get used to it very quickly. The manual below will help you with that learning process.

TAF Changes

November, 5 2008 changes came into effect to the TAF format, see below. These changes were internationally accepted.
