The main reason for the existence of climatic regions on our planet is the tilting of the Earths vertical axes and the elliptic rotation of the Earth around the sun. This causes the amount of incoming solar radiation to vary throughout a year. As a result we have four seasons each lasting around 91 days.
Thermodynamics, science of the relationship between heat, work, temperature, and energy. In broad terms, thermodynamics deals with the transfer of energy from one place to another and from one form to another. The key concept is that heat is a form of energy corresponding to a definite amount of mechanical work
Our atmosphere also follows the rules of thermodynamics and especially the second law: "Heat does not flow spontaneously from a colder region to a hotter region". Meaning that you can not increase the temperature of a molecule with a cooler one.
